Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 6, the latest in its foldable clamshell series, during the Galaxy Unpacked July 2024 event. The Z Flip 6 brings key improvements in performance, durability, and battery life while maintaining its iconic compact foldable design. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and equipped with Galaxy AI features, the Z Flip 6 is smarter, more efficient, and better suited for everyday use than any Flip model before it.
Enhanced Outer Display and Sleek Foldable Design
The 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover screen returns with support for full notification access, Galaxy AI suggestions, quick replies, weather widgets, and even Google Maps. Inside, the phone boasts a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and ultra-slim bezels. The hinge mechanism has also been upgraded for better durability and smoother folding action. The phone retains IPX8 water resistance, aluminum armor frame, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

At its core, the Z Flip 6 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, offering improved GPU and AI processing power, ideal for multitasking, gaming, and photography. It now includes 12GB RAM (up from 8GB in the Z Flip 5) and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The phone ships with One UI 6.1.1 based on Android 14, with exclusive Galaxy AI features such as Live Translate, Generative Edit, Note Assist, and Interpreter Mode available even on the cover screen.

The Z Flip 6 features a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide camera, offering improved low-light performance and better clarity. Samsung’s FlexCam AI enables hands-free recording, auto-framing, gesture detection, and dynamic subject tracking, making it ideal for vloggers and social media creators. The 10MP inner selfie camera also supports 4K video, portrait video, and AI face enhancement.

One of the most welcomed upgrades is the 4,000mAh battery a notable improvement over the 3,700mAh in its predecessor.
